Semaglutide (Ozempic)

Semaglutide is the active ingredient in brand name Ozempic®. This medication was originally created to be a diabetic medication with the added benefit of weight loss and is now being formulated to being available to the public with the right supervision of a prescriber and followed through with the proper management. Semaglutide is a GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide 1) agonist which in other words works with the pancreas to secrete more insulin after eating meals.
